To say I've been impressed with Streamlight's products, would be a vast understatement! They're nothing short of EPIC! Pictured is a ProTac 2L which I purchased maybe 6 years ago, mainly for work installing cable as well as automotive repair. I can't tell you how many times it's fallen/been dropped. It's been wet, even submerged, in snow and ice, and even in the bitter, subzero winter temps, the light always functioned perfectly.
Something else that sets Streamlight's products above the rest again has to do with reliability. Though regarding the reliability that every time the button is pushed, the light operates without fail, and without the annoying flickering or spastic changes of brightness, (usually attributed to poor connection) that I've encountered with several other brand's flashlights. Whether push number one on 1st set of batteries or years later on battery set number 723 (rough guess but probably not too far off). I can verify this with 4 different Streamlight models, one, in particular, being a Stinger LED that I'll be doing a testimonial on as well.
Presently, as pictured, the finish of the ProTac is so worn away one can no longer read the name and S/N; or anything for that matter and it's no longer black. The lens in the bezel cap had cracked some time ago and ultimately fell out. It's insane that it's still fully operational! I'm sure Streamlight stands behind their products as they're known for, though I wouldn't know because, despite taking more abuse than any flashlight should ever have to, I've never had it fail; or any of the others I own!
In addition to the pictured ProTac 2L, also own a Stinger LED, ProTac HL4, and ProTac HL-X. I will definitely add to my little Streamlight family as well as more Streamlight rechargeable batteries. I can't tell you how many times my Stinger's original batteries have been used/charged, and still have long battery life and provide the same brightness level.
I recommend Streamlight to everyone! The brightness and performance level for the price is unmatched. The durability, reliability, and long life, and without degradation of brightness over time, is ridiculous! Simply Epic! Thanks, Streamlight!
