haz-loNEW SAFER, MORE DURABLE HAND-HELD HAZ-LO® LIGHTS INTRODUCED
AT NATIONAL SAFETY CONGRESS

Customers asked if it were possible to create higher performance Division 1-rated lights;
Streamlight fulfilled that request … and then some!

Safety AdAt the 2012 National Safety Council CONGRESS & EXPO, we introduced two high-performance LED flashlights, suitable for use in Division 1 hazardous locations – the 3AA and 3C ProPolymer® HAZ-LO® lights. Both lights are built to the tougher standards of the ANSI/UL 913 7th Edition CAN/CSA C22.2 No 157-92 Instrinic Safety Standard, so they're safer and more durable than their predecessors; and each light provides the perfect balance of durability, run time, and light output with Class I, Div. 1 safety.

Tested To Newer Tougher 2016 Standards
The 3AA and 3C ProPolymer HAZ-LO lights are made of a more durable material that has enhanced corrosion-resistance and anti-static properties. The new bodies also have a mechanical locking mechanism that prevents the battery compartment from being accessed without a tool. This new safety feature helps to avoid batteries from being changed, or the housing being inadvertently opened, while in a hazardous environment.

These flashlights also feature a single-body electronic LED module that has been mechanically attached to the electronic assembly. This is a change from the two-part module that was glued, which makes the new models more durable and highly resistant to damage from impact.

Among The Brightest Div. 1 Lights On The Market
The new 3AA ProPolymer HAZ-LO delivers 120 lumens and 14,000 candela peak beam intensity. It has a run time of 6.5 hours. The 3AA replaces the 4AA ProPolymer Lux Div 1 light. As the name implies, the new model runs on three AA batteries, rather than four; yet it is brighter, with dramatically higher candela.
hazloSince the 3AA model requires fewer batteries than the model it's replacing, there is a 25% savings in operating costs, as well as a reduction in recycling costs.

The 3C ProPolymer HAZ-LO is 150 lumens and 7,000 candela peak beam intensity, with a run time of 18 hours.

It's a major challenge to improve upon lights that are already tough, powerful, durable, and high-value; but, once again, Streamlight engineers have exceeded expectations.
