It has been approved by Underwriter Laboratories Inc. for meeting the hazardous location standard for safety with Class 1, Division 1 designation, which covers its use in areas where flammable gases or liquids may be present under normal operating conditions. Streamlight's Fire Vulcan LED rechargeable lantern boasts C4 power LED and special reflector optics, making it the brightest rechargeable lantern ever made. Five times brighter than its closest competitor, the Fire Vulcan weighs only 1.8 pounds – nearly 50 percent lighter than the halogen version. The Streamlight Vantage C4 helmet light, which attaches easily to full-brim fire helmets, is a perfect hands-free option. The light also features an ultra-bright blue safety tail light that allows firefighters and rescue workers to be seen in smoke-filled rooms or blackout conditions.
