Low Light/Laser Instructor Course |
This course will explore the tactical advantages of laser sighting system. Developed to provide the
instructor with techniques and drills to train department personnel with laser sights. More than 60% of
officer involved shootings occur between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. This course is designed for LEO
Firearms Instructors to instruct their officers to gain skills and develop an ability to win a confrontation
during low light situations. Students must pass a written test, live fire standards drills and instructor
evaluations to successfully complete the course. Topics that will be covered are: |
- Eyesight during low light
- Management of flashlights
- Flashlight techniques
- Firearm mounted lights
- Back lighting
- Night sights

| Ammunition: 400 Rounds Pistol, 150 Rounds Shotgun |
Equipment Required: Wraparound eye protection, ear protection, brimmed hat, vest, flashlight,
sidearm, safe holster, three magazines/speed loaders and a shotgun. Streamlight flashlights will be available for selected models of pistols for use at this course, please call prior to make arrangements. |
